I didn't buy one as they only had yellow in stock but I'm waiting for a call-back confirming that they will be getting new stock in.Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17722580703235194607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6928835.post-1086733198939339282004-06-08T23:19:00.000+01:002004-06-08T23:19:00.000+01:00Spotted this nowadays rare Giro Animas 2003 helmet...Spotted this nowadays rare Giro Animas 2003 helmet at knocked down price but the problem would be that I'd not be able to try it on in advance. Not sure whether to just order it anyway since I could always return it if it's uncomfortable.Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17722580703235194607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6928835.post-1086614913580125902004-06-07T14:28:00.000+01:002004-06-07T14:28:00.000+01:00My first bike helmet was a Bell Image, which coast...My first bike helmet was a Bell Image, which coast about £30 in 1995(ish). Next up was a cheap Halfords-own model, and I'm now using a Trek Somethingorother.

All of them were pretty comfortable, the newer ones just look a little better, are lighter and better ventilated.

I'd think, at the speeds that impacts are likely to happen, even a badly fitted helmet would be better than no helmet. But, you'd probably not wear a helmet if it was uncomfortable, heavy or sweaty.

Your best bet would be to go along to a bike shop (a proper one) with a budget in mind and try on everything that's within your budget. Just buy the best fitting; if it's a brand, it'll be fine.

I always wear my helmet, like a good boy.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05308666493490068369noreply@blogger.com
